Are the exchange rates live or real-time?+
No. The rates are indicative and static — baked into the page and updated only occasionally. They are meant for quick estimates, not for actual transactions. For a precise, up-to-the-minute figure, use a live source or your bank.
How is the conversion calculated?+
Every rate is stored as units per US dollar, so each conversion goes through USD: the amount is divided by the source currency's rate to get a USD value, then multiplied by the target currency's rate. This keeps every currency pair consistent from a single table.
